MEDITATION GATHERING
November 8th, December 13th, January 10th 

Participants in the meditation course earlier in the year wanted to continue meeting.  This gathering will be on the second Sunday of each month.  The format will be a short talk on technique, followed by two longer sessions of increasingly deep meditation.  Everyone is welcome whether you took the meditation course, have a background, or wish to know more.  This will be held at Mike and Catherine's clinic in Kailua.

UNDERSTANDING EFFECTIVE PRAYER

Few mystical things are as difficult to understand as prayer.  Methods associated with most religions lack a truly distinct rationale.  There actually is a scientific way to approach the use of prayer in healing and manifesting a peaceful life experience.  This nonsectarian class will examine the principles of Consciousness as they apply to healing prayer from both a non-dual and dualistic sense.  Participants will learn about the disturbances of Spirit that are known in East Asian medicine as "diseases without signs or symptoms."  The Prayer of Universal Pattern will be introduced both as a prayerful statement for discussion and a useful meditation mantra.  There definitely are not right or wrong answers to these issues.

FUZHENG THERAPY

Fu Zheng therapy is a broad and potentially multidisciplinary method of treating long term chronic situations and/or assisting patients regain strength after severe illness or surgery.  This introductory course focuses on the use of adaptogenic and tonifying herbs.  It is suitable for licensed practitioners and independent herbalists.  This one-day course is awaiting NCCAOM approval for 6 PDA units.
